Peer Support

We understand that accessing formal mental health services with licensed professionals can be difficult.

We also recognize the immense value in peer support, which can be affordable, accessible, and validating.

KundaliniAwareness.org shares common goals and enriching relationships with the following communities.

Since childhood, Brent has been in a mystical and mysterious spiritual awakening process involving expansive states of awareness, non-duality and no-self realizations, Kundalini Shakti awakening, emotional healing, and more.

About:
It started as a film. It became a community.

Katrina Michelle and Kate West set out to make a film about Kundalini awakening and spiritual emergence. The demand for connection was so strong that before the film’s debut, a peer support community was already formed.

When Lightning Strikes offers live peer support meetings on Zoom and an active social network with fellow experiencers.

“One thing we have always known, and experience has proven it to us, is that while there are experts out there who can explain this phenomenon and give us understanding and resources to help, the real healing comes from the friends and community we meet along the way.”

About:
Kundalini Collective are a group of people who have experienced Kundalini or spiritual awakenings. They come from diverse backgrounds, and all share the experience of being in the awakening process.

They are here first and foremost to provide peer support to those who are experiencing this process. They see it as being both positive and profound, but also a journey that can be challenging to navigate.

They run regular online groups, as well as some face to face meet-ups,  where they can connect with, and support one another as they develop in their process.

Sameer Patel and Alan Foulkes began the Kundalini Collective in 2018, having met the previous year at a support group for people with awakened Kundalini. Starting with informal face to face meetings in London, with the support of Bonnie Greenwell, the Collective has grown organically.

Meet ups went on line as a result of Covid, and Sameer developed in 2020 a website as a focus for community and shared experience and knowledge. A series of podcasts has followed, membership has increased to over 150 people, with members progressively taking a larger role in the running of the Collective.

Sameer and Alan have a shared belief in the value of peer support and the ability of us all to support each other through the Kundalini process. They also hold that spiritual awakening has a key part to play if humanity is to successfully address the world crises that it has created.

About:
Spiritual Awakenings International Experiencers Sharing Circle is an opportunity for anyone who has had a Spiritually Transformative Experience (STE) to come together with other STE “Experiencers” to share and listen.

Spiritually Transformative Experiences include but are not limited to:

  • Near-Death Experiences (NDEs)

  • Other Death-Related STEs such as: Deathbed Visions, Death-Watch Experiences/Shared-Death Experiences, and After-Death Communications

  • Mystical Experiences

  • Psychic or Intuitive Experiences, such as clairvoyance, clairaudience, clairsentience, out-of-body experiences, past-life recall, mediumship, channeling, and more

  • Spiritual energy and/or Kundalini Awakening

  • Inspired creativity

  • Spiritual Emergency

It is common for Experiencers to report physical, psychological, psychic, and spiritual After-Effects.

The SAI Experiencers Sharing Circles are moderated by volunteers who are trained and certified Spiritual Awakenings International Facilitators. This is an opportunity to share informally, without a larger audience. However, this is not a therapy group and no counselling can or will be offered. Rather, it is a forum to share personal NDE and STE stories in an intimate, supportive environment.

About:

The Toronto Awakenings Sharing Group’s in-person and Zoom video-conference meetings feature a STE related speaker and a question and answer period.  They also offer “Experiencers” Sharing Circles, hosted by Spiritual Awakenings International, which are small sharing groups in which you are invited to share your STE experiences and listen to others. This is not a therapy group but rather a meeting of those who are curious to learn and share their experiences. Sharing is not required, but attentive and respectful listening is. Their meetings are held roughly 5 times a year.
